Just popping in with a little half-term update from That’s Sooo You HQ.
If you’re anything like me, you’ve been doing the parent juggle this week; balancing work, kids, snacks (so many snacks) and trying not to spend a small fortune every time you leave the house. Teenagers, as it turns out, are EXPENSIVE. Who knew?!
We hopped on the train to London a couple of times and stuck to the golden rule: free fun only (minus the train tickets, let’s not talk about those prices 😬). First stop: the Natural History Museum. We hadn’t been since pre-COVID and it was great fun! All the nostalgia hit me at once, I used to take them there when they were little and suddenly I was the one dragging them to look at the dinosaurs again! Full circle moment, and they even enjoyed it (teen miracle).
Next up, the National Gallery. Genuinely one of my happy places. There’s something so inspiring about wandering through all that incredible art. Plus, it gave my teen some bonus points on her art coursework (two birds, one stone). We also did a bit of good old-fashioned sightseeing... all the free classics.
The rest of the week has been a mix of dog walks with Peggy and Ethel (our fluffy sanity-savers), hanging out and making the most of being outdoors when the British weather isn’t having a tantrum. Oh, and yes, fitting in work whenever I can squeeze it between “I'm hungry” and “Can I have some money?”
BUT… I’m very excited because I’ve been out and about this week meeting a few lovely design clients about some exciting new projects (watch this space 👀).
I also popped in to see Jess at The Little Arts Workshop. I created the wrap design for her car and she’s just had it done. It looks amazing and she’s absolutely thrilled! If you’ve been thinking about levelling up your own branding, now’s the perfect time... drop me a message, I’d love to chat.
